Few Ways to Explore Madrid More Than City


There are fabulous museums, many fascinating scenes and vibrant nightlife, that you can explore in Spain, which is the third biggest city of Europe. Metro network of Madrid is second largest in Europe and also considered to be one of the best. Tickets are also not too expensive and in case you have plan to stay longer then you can buy a Tourist Travel Pass too. This will enable you to travel as many times as you wish.  

To travel to most of the historical places of Madrid, metro can be fastest and efficient mode of transport. Besides that, you can also board any EMT buses which runs right from 6.30 AM to 11.30 PM. You can go to almost all places of Madrid by taking the bus route.

In case, you are interested in the night life of Madrid then you can travel in night buses which is called búhos. These buses will run from terminus stop called Plaza de Cibeles between 11.45PM to 6AM. You can get such bus after every 15 to 30 minutes.

Also, there are hop-on hop-off bus tour also provided by EMT which will take you to few attractions of the city like:

  • Parque del Buen-Retiro,
  • Puerta del Sol
  • Templo de Debod.

You will find taxi charges are much reasonable in Madrid, as compared to many other European cities. Cabs are usually while with red strips in diagonal manner can be stopped at any place just by raising your hand. Taxi charges however may vary according to time.

For any first-time visitors to Madrid, guided tour can be the better option to travel to your fixed destinations.
